Fees & refunds
Protocol fees on decisive rounds, and when stakes are refunded instead.
Protocol fee
On a decisive outcome (a clear UP or DOWN winner with stakes on the winning side), a protocol fee is taken from the pot before winners are paid.
| Parameter | Typical default |
|---|---|
| Fee | 2% (protocolFeeBps) |
| Paid to | Configured protocol fee recipient |
| When | Accrued at resolve; settled through the claim path as implemented on-chain |
UI estimates usually show payouts after fee where applicable. Always treat the contract as authoritative.
Refund mode
Rounds enter refund mode when, for example:
- Open and close prices are a tie under the oracle rules, or
- There are no bets on the side that would have won
In refund mode, eligible users claim back stake according to the contract (typically without the decisive-outcome fee path). See Claiming for the 14-day deadline. Refunds must also be claimed in time.
Bet limits
Rounds enforce a minimum and maximum stake (defaults are often 0.001 ETH min and 1 ETH max). The trade panel may offer presets inside that range. Gas is separate from your stake.
Gas
You pay Robinhood Chain gas for bets, claims, and other transactions. Keep a buffer beyond your intended stake.
