Key risks to understand before using Sight: smart contracts, market settlement, wallets, and claim deadlines.
Sight is an onchain prediction market platform. Using the platform involves financial risk and interaction with blockchain transactions, smart contracts, and external data sources.
You should understand these risks before taking a position.
Smart contract risk
Sight markets operate through deployed smart contracts.
Smart contracts may contain bugs, unexpected behavior, configuration errors, or other technical issues that could affect market operations, settlement, refunds, or claims.
Blockchain transactions are generally irreversible once confirmed.
Only use funds you can afford to lose.
Market settlement and price data risk
Prediction markets are settled according to the price source and settlement logic specified for each market.
For token price markets, the outcome may be based on onchain liquidity pools, spot prices, TWAP data, or other designated price sources.
Market prices may differ from prices displayed on centralized exchanges or other third-party platforms.
Low liquidity, unusual market conditions, high volatility, manipulation, oracle issues, or data source outages may affect the settlement outcome.
The designated settlement source and smart contract result will prevail.
Market risk
If the market resolves against your prediction, you may lose your entire position.
Token buys are capped around $1–$4 early on. AMM trades are capped at 0.1 ETH. You can still lose the full amount you pay. On an AMM market you can sell before resolution; the sale price can be less than you paid.
Displayed estimated payout amounts may also change as new users take positions while the round is active.
Past market movements, trader performance, or displayed probabilities do not guarantee future results.
Differences between the interface and onchain state
The Sight interface is designed to reflect onchain activity, but it may occasionally be delayed, unavailable, or display incomplete or estimated information.
The onchain state and successfully confirmed transactions prevail.
A transaction that appears to have been submitted in the interface but has not been confirmed onchain should not be considered complete.
Claim transactions and deadlines
Winning positions and eligible refunds are not automatically transferred to your wallet.
These balances must be claimed after the market resolves.
Eligible balances must be claimed within the applicable 14-day claim period.
If you do not complete the claim within this period, unclaimed balances may be cleared according to the protocol rules, and you may permanently lose the right to recover these funds.
Interface unavailability, wallet issues, or failure to notice an eligible claim will not extend the claim period.

Wallet and network risk
Sight is a non-custodial platform and does not store your private keys.
You are responsible for:
- Securing your wallet and seed phrase
- Verifying that you are connected to the correct network
- Reviewing transaction details before signing
- Maintaining sufficient native ETH for gas
- Using the correct wallet for position and claim transactions
Transactions made through the wrong wallet or on the wrong network may not be reversible.
Phishing and impersonation
Use only official Sight links and applications.
Never share your private key or seed phrase with anyone.
The Sight team will never need your seed phrase to provide support.
Always verify the website domain and transaction details before connecting your wallet or signing a transaction.
Network risk
Sight operates on Robinhood Chain.
Network congestion, RPC issues, chain outages, bridge problems, or other infrastructure issues may temporarily affect:
- Taking positions
- Viewing market data
- Market settlement
- Claiming winnings or refunds
These issues may occur outside Sight’s direct control.
Third-party risk
Sight may depend on external infrastructure, including wallets, RPC providers, bridges, price sources, or other blockchain services.
Failures or outages affecting these services may impact platform availability or user transactions.
Risk of loss of funds
You may lose some or all of the funds you use on Sight.
Losses may result from:
- Incorrect predictions
- Smart contract issues
- Market or price source behavior
- Wallet compromise
- Signing unintended transactions
- Network or third-party service issues
- Missing the claim deadline
Using Sight means accepting the risks associated with onchain prediction markets.
